Aloe Vera Farm Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to Verdeaurora Bio Farm, an aloe vera farm on the outskirts of Antigua, which we'll visit to discover all the secrets of the most typical plant in the Canary Islands.
First, we'll meet the animals that live at Verdeaurora, most of which have been rescued or taken in, and you'll have the opportunity to feed the Majorero donkeys, a native species that forms part of Fuerteventura's cultural heritage.
Next, we'll take a tour among fruit trees and aloe vera. We'll walk through the permaculture garden, exploring the tropical fruit forest, and then stop at the aloe vera plantation, one of the most emblematic plants of the Canary Islands.
Afterwards, you'll learn how to cut and handle an aloe vera leaf, and you'll be able to enjoy a tapa that includes goat cheese, artisan bread, olive oil (Picual and Arbequina varieties, grown on the estate) and a glass of Canarian wine.
After a 45-minute tour, we'll conclude the visit.
Tour + Premium Tasting
If you choose this option, instead of a tapa, you'll enjoy a selection of local products including: tomatoes from the island dressed with organic extra virgin olive oil; toast with homemade sun-dried tomato pâté with almonds and basil; artisan goat's cheese; freshly kneaded gofio; artisan bread; olive oil (picual and arbequina); a glass of Canarian wine; and papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes) with homemade mojo sauce, made according to a family recipe.
Please note that both the tapas and premium tasting products may vary depending on availability or season.
